We began out of a profound respect for real NHS professionals, and we strive to share that same level of dedication with the entire community.
Our journey started by truly listening to nurses and healthcare staff across the UK—understanding their daily challenges and designing shoes that not only look great but feel amazing, making every step more comfortable.

We understand the demands and passion that come with working in medicine. You’re rushing to emergencies, pulling 12-hour shifts (sometimes more!), and on your feet all day—and often all night too.

Sophie went through nursing school, felt the excitement (and nerves) before her first clinical placement, celebrated her first full-time job, and grieved her first patient loss. Emily witnessed firsthand just how physically and emotionally taxing the healthcare field can be.
That’s why we created Nurse Babe:
modern, functional footwear designed for healthcare professionals who aren’t afraid of a little fluid (or a lot). Sophie and the Nurse Babe team collaborated with healthcare colleagues and innovative designers to build stylish trainers that put the needs of frontline healthcare workers first.
